The Copenhagen buddhist temple was inaugurated in the year 2003.This is also the only Therawada Sri Lankan temple in denmark .Basic instructions were given by Rev Kirindigalle Dhammaratana Nayaka thero in building this temple .Rev Maratugoda Uparathana Thero functions in his capacity as the chief incumbent of the Copenhagen buddhist temple. Sri Lankan as well as Danes also get services from the temples . The services offered by the triple include Sunday dhamma school ,monthly poya programs ,and meditation programs.
